Upon successful completion of the Hybrid CNA Program, participants will be eligible to take the state certification exam to become licensed CNAs. With their comprehensive training and hands-on experience, graduates will be well-equipped to pursue rewarding careers in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, and more.

Successful completion of the Nursing Assistant Training program requires the student to
complete the following:
a. Participate in all class, skills, and clinical sessions.
b. Maintain a minimum overall 80% grade.
c. Satisfactorily complete the required clinical hours and skills.
d. Successfully pass all clinical skills.

  • What is a CNA Online Hybrid program?

    • Our program combines online coursework with in-person skills training and clinical experience.
  • What is included in the tuition?

    • Tuition typically covers online coursework access, in-person lab training, clinical placement, 1 uniform, and CPR certification. Additional fees included textbook, livescan and testing fees
  • What are the advantages of a hybrid program compared to a traditional in-person program?

    • Hybrid programs offer flexibility, allowing students to complete some coursework at hone online during a live Zoom, while still receiving hands-on training during the later portion of the program.
  • What are the technical requirements for the online portion of the program?

    • Students typically need a computer with internet access, and need specific software or applications to upload required forms.
  • How is the clinical experience component handled in a hybrid program?

    • Students are usually required to attend in-person clinical rotations at a healthcare facility under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
  • Will I be prepared to take the CNA certification exam after completing a hybrid program?

    • Yes, our programs is designed to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to pass the certification exam. Students will be eligible to obtain CNA licensure from the State of California.

Our 40-hour Home Health Aide (HHA) Training Program, offered in the Sacramento area, is designed for CNAs seeking to expand their skills in the home health setting.

This program includes 20 hours of didactic instruction and 20 hours of clinical training, providing a balance of knowledge and hands-on experience. Upon completion, the HHA certification is added to the existing CNA license.

The course focuses on hands-on, skills-based TRAINING to support safe and compassionate care in patients’ homes. Students will engage in interactive learning and clinical-based practice, building confidence in real-world home care scenarios.

Key topics include patient care, home safety, infection control, chronic disease support, wound care, and mental health awareness, along with ethical and regulatory guidelines in home health.

Led by experienced instructors, this program provides the essential TRAINING and practical experience needed for the home care setting.

Are you a current California-licensed CNA ready to advance your career? The Acute CNA Course at McKallen Medical is designed specifically for new and experienced CNAs who want to transition from long-term care into the acute-care hospital setting.

This advanced and engaging program expands your knowledge and skill set to match the fast pace and higher acuity of hospital care. You will learn how to support post-surgical and medically complex patients, respond to rapid clinical changes, and collaborate confidently with nurses, providers, and hospital teams.

Training includes high-fidelity hospital simulations in our modern clinical education center — allowing you to gain experience with telemetry basics, advanced mobility equipment, infection prevention protocols, charting, and hospital workflow without needing a hospital clinical rotation.

The course is taught by a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of hospital experience, ensuring students receive real-world, expert-level instruction.
