What does a Medical Assistant do?
Certified Clinical Medical Assistants are multi skilled allied healthcare professionals who may administer medications, assist with minor procedures, record vital signs, take medical histories, prepare patients and rooms for examinations, handle laboratory specimens, provide patient education, and much more. Because of the specialized skill set and knowledge, you could find yourself working in clinics, physicians’ offices, hospitals, outpatient facilities, and specialists’ offices across the country. - Understand basic human anatomy and utilize medical terminology in order to effectively communicate in a healthcare facility
- Comply with HIPAA/HITECH, OSHA and CMS and other healthcare regulations and laws as they apply to patient information
- Administer medications and assist with minor procedures
- Record vital signs, take medical histories and prepare patients and rooms for examinations

What is the program format?
Delivery Format: Hybrid (Online Synchronous + In-Person Skills Practice)
Hands-on Skills Practice: 24-60 hours required at the Ontario, Sacramento, or Westminster office locations
Optional Clinical Experience: 80 hours (not included in the 500-hour total) 8hr days, 10 days beginning on

Graduates of our training program will be eligible to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
